Join the Aetna Medicare Actuarial Informatics Team as the enterprise embarks on a journey to reimagine its omnichannel health experience while harnessing cutting-edge technology to streamline and simplify the stakeholder experience. Our team will leverage digital assets like SAS and cloud computing to streamline and modernize Medicare Part C and D Actuarial & Underwriting rating systems.
As an Informatics Analyst, you will design and implement solutions for Medicare Part C and D actuarial and underwriting processes, including pricing models, rating systems, reporting tools and actuarial databases. You will work closely alongside actuaries and underwriters to understand the business needs and build custom solutions that deliver the right user experience.
This is an individual contributor position.
Primary Responsibilities
Under general supervision, conducts analyses and produces reports of varied healthcare data to assess health and economic outcomes of Aetna Part D products and programs.
This position will be responsible to analyze and document business data and processes, recommend technical solutions and create reports as needed to support business needs. Daily activities will include:
– Extract, Create, Enhance & Maintain integrated Part D analytic data sets and tools by defining meaningful metrics to address Actuarial business and research questions.
– Ability to quickly react to system changes/issues and provide solutions for business users in a fast-paced business environment.
– Ability to establish relationships with internal and external constituents a must.
– Should have the ability to move multiple projects forward simultaneously and be responsible for the results; even when others are directly accountable for the outcome.
Required Qualifications
• 0-2 years of experience in an analytical job function
• 1-2 years of experience with SAS and/or other programming languages (Python, R)
• Experience using Microsoft Office products in a work function
Preferred Qualifications
• 1-2 years of experience in the health insurance industry
• Experience working with actuaries
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science or Healthcare
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,888.00 – $93,574.80
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
