Overview
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for the handling of specific National programs. This position is well versed in the company’s products and services, maintains awareness regarding industry standards and client expectations, utilizes time efficiently and travels on an as needed basis. The Strategic Account Manager thoroughly understands the daily operations in order to articulate best practices, procedures, and guidelines and demonstrates superior customer service and strives to meet and exceed company’s revenue objectives.
Responsibilities
• Support of specific national programs and put together project plans which coincide with the standard operating procedures.
• Clearly understand and articulate all products and services.
• Manage successful relationships with assigned group of national accounts.
• Coordinate efforts with National Sales Executives and/or Senior Management and other account managers at the local and regional level.
• Identify problems with assigned accounts and facilitate timely solutions.
• Maintain client relationships at a National level by coordinating services and customer service.
• Share information with other staff to improve and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Attend all sales and marketing meetings as directed; travel as required.
• Continuously analyze the market and competition and identify external threats and opportunities; adapt sales strategy to changing conditions.
• Provide weekly, monthly and or quarterly updates as directed.
• Perform various professional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor degree in business, marketing or sales; or five years related experience in outside sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two years prior sales experience required. Strong knowledge of claims management relative to Workers’ Compensation or Liability preferred.

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write correspondence and present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to write clearly and informatively to all required audiences and edit own work for appropriate spelling and grammar.
• Ability to effectively present information one-on-one, in small to large groups, to top management, and/or clients or vendors of the company.
