We are looking for a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join our Search and Analytics team. About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related major; OR equivalent work experience
• 7 years of experience in system design and software development life cycle
• 7 years of experience with Java development, python, Perl/scripting languages
• 7 years of data analytical experience with large volume data processing and data modeling in a distributed environment.
• 7 years of experience working with cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
It would be great if you also had:
• Experience with Search Engines like OpenSearch/Elasticsearch/Solr/Lucene
• Master’s degree in computer science.
• Data Science training and knowledge with vector space models, text classification, and categorization
• Domain knowledge in Literature and Patent content and searches
What will you be doing in this role?
• Design and implementation of enterprise search applications and infrastructure with AI and Search technologies.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to optimize search algorithms and platforms.
• Develop advanced search and analytics features for enhancing user experience.
• Engage in the entire Lifecycle of Innovation, especially during research and discovery phases.

You will contribute to our world-class leading research and discovery web platform, designed to enhance the productivity of innovators worldwide. This platform integrates AI, Machine Learning, and NLP to offer unique search capabilities, content classification, and recommendation systems, supporting our users in their quest for knowledge and innovation.

Hours of Work
• Full time, permanent
• Although duties are typically performed during normal business hours, occasional off-hours may be required
• Hybrid position in Ann Arbor (2-3 days a week in the office)
