The Senior Examiner will report to management within Service Quality Management (SQM) and will be responsible for the development and leading of various types of operational risk audits including client, functional, advisory, remediation, and/or targeted reviews within our Global Housing Division. The Senior Examiner will have the opportunity to work in a team environment with direct oversight of the planning activities, establishing scope objectives, and coordinating with internal business partners and team members for operational risk audits. The overall goal is to provide internal stakeholders with feedback for opportunities to improve quality and mitigate risk within the organization. This is a remote opportunity.

What will my duties and responsibilities be in this job?
• Lead, research, and data analysis necessary to perform multiple operational audits based upon risk, client, regulatory, and requirements.
• Evaluate data from multiple sources, analysis of records, reports, internal/client systems, vendor, regulations, operating procedures, and processes including the creation of process maps to assess/monitor compliance to policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
• With support from SQM Management – create, approve, and present final review findings to Operations leadership which identifies and addresses areas of risk and evaluates the overall effectiveness of processes.
• Conduct first-level review and approval of Examiner work papers and identified risks for accuracy, supporting documentation, and justification of preliminary findings.
• Effectively communicate quality and regulatory issues to Operational leadership to ensure process quality and compliance.
• Provide input and monitor Action Plans submitted by Business Partners for timely resolution of any finding identified in operational audits.
• Lead/conduct follow-up review research and/or targeted reviews following completion of Action Plan, to validate the remediation and action taken has resolved the original finding.
• Guide Examiners and Analysts in their review responsibilities, including orientation and training.
• Assign audit objective(s)and review Auditor/Analyst completed work.
• Lead and/or assist in ad hoc projects as needed with the performance of qualitative and quantitative research related to process improvement activities, including defining, measuring, and analyzing process capability to ensure realized benefits.
• No direct reports but is responsible for reviewing and validating the work performed by Auditors and Analysts. In the absence of a manager, will be responsible for daily administrative duties, workflow, and oversight of assigned operational audits.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
• A minimum of 5 years of operational, Compliance, and/or audit experience including documenting and approving work papers to support overall risk
• A minimum of 5 years of insurance, mortgage, or financial services experience
• A minimum of 4 years of utilizing data analysis and improvement tools
• Knowledge of database applications, analytical tools, and dashboard reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.

• Superior knowledge of Housing Operations and related systems

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone.
