Your role as a Physical Therapist involves offering individualized care to patients spanning all age groups, from infants to the elderly, in a bid to enhance their physical health and functional abilities. You will also be involved in operational duties for the Rehabilitation Services Department, as necessary.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
• Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking skills and discretion in the delivery of care. Follows guidelines endorsed by nationally recognized and evidence-based standards in all facets of therapy. Provides care that results in outcomes surpassing or meeting the departmental objectives.
• Drafting documentation promptly and accurately, in accordance with department protocols for establishing medical necessity.
• Submits the necessary paperwork for billing purposes and maintains the accuracy of charges and authorizations. Meets department productivity expectations through efficient time management.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to lifelong learning by actively seeking out new skills and knowledge to support professional growth and development.
• Complies with guidelines from state, federal, and professional associations regarding supervision.
• Utilizes a collaborative approach that incorporates patient, family, and caregiver goals to maximize treatment outcomes.
• Adhere to the stipulations mandated by insurance, accrediting organizations, and regulatory agencies at all levels.
• Any other jobs that may be required.
Additional Requirements
Required:
Education – Bachelors: Physical Therapy
Certification – Physical Therapist (PT) – South Dakota Board of Physical Therapy
Preferred:
Education – Masters: Physical Therapy
Physical Requirements:
Very Heavy work – exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
