The Technician/Technologist Customer Service Rep will be responsible for communicating with our Hospital clientele, answering incoming calls, providing requested information, researching and resolving problems, finding sources for send-out testing, working with minor interface issues, and working closely with other departments in the laboratory. Prior technical laboratory experience strongly preferred and must be available to rotate weekends/holidays and evenings/nights as required. This is a temporary remote/work from home position during the pandemic (subject to change) and will require residence in the Houston, TX area upon start date.Schedule: Monday to Friday (9:30am – 6:30pm CST)Requirements:• Requires an Associate Degree in Medial Lab Technology or Equivalent; OR BA/BS degree in Medical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry or related life science• Prior experience as an MLT or MT strongly preferred• Knowledge of medical terminology used in a clinical setting strongly preferred• Experience working in a contact center/call center environment is preferred• Prior healthcare industry, such as a physician’s office or a hospital highly is a plus• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems is preferred• Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond• Must be courteous with strong customer service orientation• Excellent multitasking abilities required• Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirableLabcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:As an EOE/AA employer, Labcorp strives for diversity and inclusion in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
