At Regions, the Wealth Management Client Solutions Team Leader provides advice, coaching and guidance to a team of associates who are responsible for advising and administering Wealth Management accounts, serving as a subject matter expert in a particular area or function. This role is focused on execution of business unit strategic priorities and overseeing sound risk practices. The Team Leader may also carry a book of business and lead strategic projects.
Primary Responsibilities
• Leads a team within Client Solutions consisting of one or more of the following: Relationship Consultants, Trust Administrators, Analysts, or Specialists, providing ongoing guidance
• Understands unique, complex trust agreements and appropriately manages accounts in compliance with Regions capacity and legal and regulatory guidelines
• Completes and consults on the most complex transactions and serves as a subject matter expert to Wealth Management partners in the field
• May manage relationships with external clients, contra firms, and internal partners to coordinate client administration, account opening, closing or transfer activities
• May own client relationships on an assigned book of Wealth Management accounts
• Develops and maintains internal and external business relationships to enhance business unit goals and to build close partnerships
• For PWM and IS teams, conducts Annual Administrative and Compliance Reviews for assigned book of accounts
• For PWM and IS teams, handles and or oversees account annual tax coordination, fee set up, disbursements, daily cash management, etc.
• May serve as a voting member in Working Groups and maintain various approval responsibilities
• May assist management with maintaining and developing desk procedures and tracking metrics
• May assist management with strategic planning as well as managing special projects
• Assist team with responses to compliance and internal audit requests
• Serves as a backup to the team Supervisor as needed
• Ensures all accounts comply with applicable internal programs and procedures
• Coordinates administrative functions with attorneys, co-trustees, investment advisors, recordkeepers, and CPAs
• Remains abreast with industry trends to ensure prudent administration and investment management
• Works closely with partners and team members to provide coaching, advice and training on systems, policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and fiduciary areas of risk
• Completes & processes administrative documents for the department
• In partnership with business leadership and Human Resources, exercises usual authority concerning staffing, performance evaluations, promotions, and terminations
• Facilitates new associate onboarding and training for team
• Ensures team is performing duties in compliance with corporate Policies and Procedures and all applicable external regulations
• Monitors departmental compliance training
• Contributes to process improvement and oversees all areas of risk to the business, including developing ways to mitigate risk
• Partners with technology to define business requirements and perform user acceptance testing for new Wealth Management technologies that enhance innovation
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of Trust or closely related experience
• High School Diploma and ten (10) years of Trust or closely related experience
Preferences
• Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and/or Juris Doctorate (JD)
• Experience in Trust Administration and Institutional/Retirement Services Administration
• Experience in Transactions including GST, 65-day elections, LLC’s and Partnerships, Decantings or Modifications, and 5/5 Powers
• Experience with Trust and Fiduciary principles
• Experience with Trust accounting
• Familiarity with governing/applicable laws and regulations
• Professional designations and/or certifications
Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Trust related systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong relationship-building capabilities
This position is a part of Regions Bank’s Client Solutions Account Transition Support group and will lead the Account Closing team.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
