Job Description
Oppenheimer Asset Management is seeking a Wealth and Advisory Program Associate to join their Program Advisory team in New York City.
Responsibilities
• Provide support for enhancement development of advisory programs
• Ongoing surveillance of discretionary and non-discretionary investment advisory platforms
• Engage with Financial Advisors around the advisory programs and toolsets
• Support technology initiatives including proposal generation, asset allocation, trading tools and performance monitoring
• Coordinate outgoing Financial Advisor and client communications with OAM Sales and Marketing, contribute to marketing effort and dissemination of OAM investment themes
• Deliver essential program management field support and training for Oppenheimer Financial Advisors
• Assist the department’s communication efforts among 3rd party providers, investment managers and fund companies
• Maintain and record the onboarding procedures for investment vehicles and assist the share class rationalization process
• Update on an ongoing basis Standard Operating Procedures
• Engage with Compliance and Legal teams on several regulatory items
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or business management
• Ideal candidate must be a self-starter with an exceptional work ethic and time management and organizational skills
• Two – Five years experience in wealth management or advisory
• Must demonstrate strong accuracy and thoroughness in all facets of daily work
• Ability to work independently as well as within a professional collaborative environment
Licensing And Technical Requirements
• Must possess a high degree of proficiency with technology, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
• Experience with investment screening tools such as Morningstar is desired
• Series 7 or 6 and Series 66 preferred
Compensation
For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
