Vice President, Enterprise Operations
Job Overview:
The Vice President of Enterprise Operations will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our Enterprise Operational roadmaps, managing key customers, and being the face of Mastercard for all things operations. This leadership position requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and strong management skills to attain company goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Enterprise Operations, from leading globally diverse teams, keeping up with industry operational best practices, and defining / implementing operational KPIs with rigorous reporting to identify operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Enterprise Operations teams and ensuring operational alignment to technology initiatives with the company’s overall objectives and growth plans.
2. Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing / fast pace Operations team, fostering a culture of rigor, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
3. Technical Vision: Define and communicate technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Enterprise Operations, ensuring operational alignment with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including Business Operations, Enterprise Monitoring, Network, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to drive effective operational focus across all.
5. Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends, evaluating new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance our Operational processes.
6. Performance Management: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, driving continuous performance improvements.
7. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to executive leadership, and other stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven track record of leadership in an Operational Leadership role.
• Deep technical expertise in Monitoring / Alerting methodologies, tools and technologies.
• Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and drive organizational change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• ITIL Experience with significant experience in Incident and Change Management processes
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure performance and contractual operational obligations are met
• Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing Operational teams, fostering a culture of urgency, decency, passion, and accountability.
• Prior experience as an Operational Lead is preferred.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
