**Maintenance Technician Position at a Growing Company**
Responsibilities
• Performing preventive maintenance tasks as necessary.
• Completing assigned repair work as required.
• Notifying appropriate personnel of any major visible problems.
• Keeping work orders up-to-date.
• Ordering parts and maintaining garage stock room.
• Ensuring the area of assignment is clean and orderly.
• Assisting in unloading the supply truck and managing garage stock.
• Participating in training sessions to learn new procedures and skills needed for state-owned commissions.
Duties
• Repairing or performing preventative maintenance on various equipment including 3-prong accessories, antennas, camera systems, and more.
• Maintaining various logs.
• Using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and identify issues.
• Conducting test drives to verify proper functionality.
• Carrying out building custodian duties as assigned.
• Fulfilling any other required duties.
Essential Functions And Job Requirements
• High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• Possession of a valid Indiana driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move heavy automotive objects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Capability to distinguish colors and sounds effectively.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Comfort working in close and confined areas.
• Keen on maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proficient in diagnosing problems and operating tools and equipment.
• Skilled in completing repair jobs related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and computer systems.
• Competency in using diagnostic testing equipment for troubleshooting.
Personal Work Relationships
• Collaborating with Department personnel.
• Working with auto dealers service departments, body shops, and other professionals in the field.
Physical Effort And Work Environment
• Work primarily in a garage environment.
• Standard tasks involve standing on cement for extended periods, working in confined spaces, and handling hazardous materials and equipment.
• Operations include sitting, standing, crouching, kneeling, and periodic lifting of heavy objects.
