Title: UX Designer
Duration: 6 month contract-to-hire
Location: Carmel IN (hybrid – onsite 3 days/week)

Desired Skills:
• Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience as part of a team and/or academic studies in design-related field designing engaging and empathetic digital interactions across a variety of digital platforms.
• Human-Computer Interaction, interaction design, product design, communication design, design thinking or related design degree
• Ability to quickly bring ideas to life through a variety of means, from hand-drawn storyboards to functioning digital prototypes
• Strong understanding of design thinking and user-centered practices
• Experience working alongside software developers and solid understanding of the software development process
• Experience working in Agile environments and in Scrum Teams
• Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Invision
• Experience designing for digital accessibility following WCAG standards
• Understanding of coding/programming
• Experience leveraging analytics data to discover customer struggles and drive UX problem resolution
• Experience maintaining comprehensive style guides and ensuring design elements are consistent with brand guidelines
• Experience conducting user research and translating insights into meaningful design decisions
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and handle time effectively
• Ability to work in a team and to be open to feedback and iterative design process
• Exceptional visual design skills and attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:
• Declarative Design – the ability to design within platform constraints and proficiency using design systems to create new designs
• Exemplary verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
• Ability to be iterative and collaborate with teams in an ambiguous environment
