A major academic medical center is currently seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a growing Urology team in Pleasanton, CA. This role offers a unique blend of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, providing care for adults with a wide range of complex urologic conditions. The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of experience in Urology or a surgical specialty, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in clinical decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team, perform minor procedures, and engage in direct patient care, all within a supportive and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide care for patients with acute and chronic urologic conditions, both in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and manage treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a team of attendings and advanced practice providers.
• Execute minor procedures as needed and respond to patient messages during set aside indirect patient care time.
• Ensure seamless coordination of inpatient and outpatient care services.
Qualifications:
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• At least 1 year of experience in Urology or another surgical specialty.
• Active RN and NP licenses, including NP Furnishing Number.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Ability to work autonomously and make independent clinical decisions.
