A Uniform Room Attendant is responsible for receiving and distributing clean, pressed uniforms for team members in the hotel. In addition, you will support laundry operations, provide sewing and similar services to support continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
30 % Receive and issue all uniforms. Issue all uniforms on an exchange basis only, in order to
maintain uniform control. Store old uniforms until otherwise directed by supervisor.
20 % Wash and Iron Team members and guest clothing.
10 % Accept laundry from team members, verify, count and inventory what was collected.
10 % Prepare dry cleaning and laundry lists. Send and receive dry cleaning and laundry for
processing.
10 % Press Shower curtains and banquets skirting.
10 % Delivers guest requests of towels and shampoo and other misc. items., this may also
include shining of shoes.
5 % Occasionally makes beds in guest rooms and clean bathrooms when shorthanded on room
attendants.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of
the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined
by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
• Sew on buttons and make minor repairs to uniforms.
• Make repairs to linens and bedspreads as requested.
• Other duties as assigned, such as assisting other staff in uniform room.
• Clean rooms as assigned by supervisor on occasion.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and
demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable
accommodation.
Good organization skills for tracking uniform inventory.
Operation of different types of equipment (i.e. dry cleaning machine, washing machine, phone, dryer,
presser, etc.).
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand and communicate information for
reasons such as safety and security, e.g. Product safety labels and emergency instructions
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
EXPERIENCE
Previous uniform room experience preferred.
