About The Position
Required Certifications:
RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Required Education
RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) – South Dakota Board of Nursing
Skills Required
PCU RN:
Previous experience with our types of patients above, including IMC/stepdown and neuro; ability to read/interpret cardiac strips, wound care, line management, drain/tube management, drip titration of below medications
Drip Titration
Most commonly – Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Levophed (up to 5 mcg), occasionally esmolol drips (will train if traveler has not done these) or other Betablockers or other antihypertensives
Charting System
Epic – strongly preferred; must get approval from Manager prior to offer
Alaris
Omnicell
Floating
Any Adult Inpatient Unit – Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, Observation
Could be floated within scope of practice and below
