• Licensed Registered Nurse with a master’s degree in psychology, nursing (mental health or psychiatric nursing concentration), or a practice specialty certificate in mental health or psychiatric nursing

Job Description
• Perform psychosocial interventions within the scope of practice
• Conduct individual, family, or group interventions such as counseling, testing, and client education
• Develop intervention goals and objectives to educate and resolve client challenges
• Participate in establishing, implementing, and evaluating treatment system goals and objectives
• Interview clients and their families to determine case goals and objectives
• Assess clients, determine specific intervention techniques, and monitor responses to treatment
• Provide feedback on the effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Evaluate cases and progress of clients handled by lower-level behavioral healthcare providers
• Maintain necessary documentation to meet federal, state, and local requirements
• Prepare reports, admission/aftercare summaries, and court documents as required
• Serve on treatment and program development teams
• Attend training meetings, departmental meetings, and court hearings
• Establish and maintain working relationships with other facilities, agencies, and support services to coordinate referrals and follow-up services
• Demonstrate knowledge of departmental regulations and procedures, counseling techniques, client care, crisis intervention, and employee instruction
• Ability to counsel on sensitive matters, proofread technical materials, recognize errors, and take corrective actions
• Problem-solve in complex situations and apply social work theories, principles, and techniques
• Training and Development:** Completion of continuing professional education for license renewal is required.
