About the Team:
We are seeking a skilled Translation Specialist to accurately interpret written and audio pieces in various languages (specifically Spanish) while preserving their original meaning, format, and tone.
As a Translation Specialist, your responsibilities will include carefully reading and comprehending the context of the given material, utilizing specialized dictionaries and translation tools, and meticulously proofreading the final translations.
Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality translated content that aligns with our internal requirements and enables us to effectively engage a broader audience.
Your Role as a Translation Specialist:
• Read given material and research industry-specific terminolgy.
• Responsible for translating material that will be distributed both internally and externally.
• Manage through competing priorities and adhere to deadlines by working with communications team.
• Work with Cross functional teams to project and anticipate workload per week, month, quarter.
• Review all relevant documents for transaction inclusive of email, Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint etc.
• Convert text and audio recordings from one language to one or more others.
• Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
• Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations.
• Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation.
• Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy.
• Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs.
• Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure)
• Network with field experts to stay current on new translation tools and practices.
Craft your career with us if you have:
• Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter, or similar role.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required both written and verbal, additional languages would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
• Good knowledge of content editing tools
• Familiarity with translation software
• Time-management skills
• BSc in Translation, Interpreting or similar field.
• Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus.

NYC Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 commensurate with experience

The Pandora North America team in the USA & Canada consists of more than 115 employees working at our offices in New York & Baltimore, more than 80 in our Logistics Center in Columbia, Maryland, an additional 100 in field positions, and more than 3,900 in our owned and operated stores.
Today, the USA is Pandora’s single largest market. The Pandora North American region as a whole encompasses over 1,400 points of sale, including over 420 concept stores, with more than 300 being owned and operated by Pandora.
