Job Summary & Responsibilities
• Create documentation, coordinate document reviews and schedules with managers.
• Maintain Product Documentation including Operators Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Preventive Maintenance Documents, Facilities Manuals, Reticle design Guides, SEMI Interface Documents, training documents and other product documentation as required.
• Update documents as needed to reflect changes in design & User Interface as required for keeping customer documents up to date.
• Review ECN (engineering change notice) for impact on product documentation and provide support to update relevant product documents.
• Review release notes to assess impact on user documentation.
• Manage schedules for delivering product documentation to customers per sales orders/contracts.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with entire documentation design and development.
• Excellent grammar, vocabulary and clear concise writing style to convey highly technical information into user-friendly language.
• Ability to work independently in order to pro-actively solicit information from appropriate subject matter experts including electronic, mechanical, software and optical engineers.
• Must be proficient with in industry standard authoring tools including Adobe Frame Maker, Microsoft Word and illustrative software package
• This individual must be able to follow established styles and standards and be able to take examples of existing work and replicate them so their work is consistent with other documentation.
• Training in a technical discipline with demonstrated experience in developing technical manuals and manufacturing procedures for high tech capital equipment company.
• Degree in technical communication, journalism or related field.
• Samples of technical writing and illustrative skills during interview
