Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking mission-oriented System Administrator / Integration Tester to join a dynamic team of IT professionals. As a member of an Agile team, you will support software development and O&M for a production system responsible for disseminating finished intelligence reports to various customers. Your support to enhancements and modernization of existing applications will ensure information is in the hand of government decision makers and can inform strategic operations. You will be responsible for identification of system related problems, diagnosis of cause, and development of corrective action plans.As an SA/Tester, you will provide:• Corrective maintenance (i.e., Identify, isolate and/or rectify a fault or problem to restore and/or correct the application, system, or data)• Perfective maintenance (i.e., modification to improve performance and/or maintainability)• Adaptive maintenance (i.e., modification to keep an application, system, or data repository usable in a changed or changing environment).• Support for application re-hosting (i.e., transitioning an application from its existing infrastructure by changing certain environmental and configuration properties to enable it to run on modern technology while preserving existing functionality).Responsibilities also include:• the creation and maintenance of as-is system documentation such as high-level system architecture diagrams illustrating key system components and systems requirements documents• supporting the maintenance of active security authorizations for all projects/security plans (SPIDs) and of required security body of evidence (BoE) artifacts such as POAMs, control implementations and test plans to meet all Assessment and Authorization (A&A) milestone requirements; continuous integration with all enterprise security services (ESS), implementing all applicable manual Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), vendor hardening guides and ensuring timely installation of all available patches, and usage of security relevant databases such as XACTA 360, Service+, Continuity Planning Tool (CPT), and Software Approval Process (SWAP)• the build, test, and deployment of all services, applications, software code, and metadata using enterprise, government-managed Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline• Providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support during non-business hours as requiredThe ideal candidate is highly technical and has a proven commitment to quality with a solid understanding of systems administration concepts, network architecture, troubleshooting techniques, and familiar with the latest Agile software development methodologies, technologies and application performance analysis. The candidate must be self-organizing and team-oriented and be able to work on multiple projects. The candidate must have strong communication skills and the persistence to resolve technical issues.Required Education, Experience, & Skills• Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related technical or scientific discipline• Current Security + certification• Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of system administration experience and expertise in Linux and AWS cloud environments• Demonstrated experience in a DevOps / DevSecOps environment• Demonstrated experience working in an agile / Scaled Agile constructPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills• Amazon Web Services expertise and certification (Build and developing AWS EC2 servers for modernization)• CHEF script for configuration management• Oracle database expertise• ArcGIS / Postgres/PostGIS• Agile or SAFe certificationPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92290 – $156860Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
