Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Systems Administrator, your key responsibilities will include managing and overseeing our infrastructure environment, troubleshooting complex system issues, and implementing various projects. You will be working with our internal teams and vendors to review and analyze the effectiveness of our system while providing tier three support to our employees and customers.

Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our infrastructure environment, including servers, storage solutions, backups, enterprise software, and virtualized infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot a wide array of complex system issues to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
• Work on a variety of projects, including disaster recovery and migration from VMware to Hyper-V.
• Monitor our VMware environment and handle incoming tickets.
• Build servers and apply patches in a Windows environment.
• Utilize your proficiency in firewall configuration and networking configuration.
• Leverage your familiarity with Active Directory and your ability to write scripts using PowerShell.
• Understand and possibly work with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
• Gain experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Requirements
MUST BE A PHILADELPHIA RESIDENT OR MOVE TO PHILADELPHIA WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF BEING A W-2 EMPLOYEE
• Demonstrable experience as a Systems Administrator for a minimum of 3 years
• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies
• Expertise in Active Directory management and operations
• Adeptness in working with Computer Hardware
• Knowledge and practical experience with VMware and Hyper-V
• Proficiency in PowerShell Scripting
• Experience in designing and implementing Disaster Recovery strategies
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server
• Experience in Linux administration
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team or independently as required
• Proactive in maintaining and enhancing system performance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
