Job Description The Opportunity: The Opportunity: Join BAE Systems’ Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who supports the U.S Navy’s Strategic System Program (SSP). We are searching for an onsite System Administrator to support the IT Operations Team to support the customer’s Model Based System Engineering Environments.
The Role: As an onsite System Administrator, you will focus on supporting the customers Model Based System Engineering Environment. This will involve supporting both Windows and Linux operating system and the tools running on the servers.
Responsibilities:
• Installation, configuration, hardening, patching, tuning, upgrading, and archiving of Windows and Linux Servers
• Installation, configuration, hardening, patching, tuning, and upgrading of System Engineering Tools
• Doors, Teamwork Cloud, Jira and Confluence, Cassandra Database
• Implementing System Security Policies (DISA STIG’s)
• Troubleshooting Windows and Linux Server Issues
• Troubleshooting System Engineering Tool Issues
• Automating Deployment and Sustainment Tasks
• Provide training to users and coworkers on IT Systems
• Vulnerability Scan and Remediation
• Basic network administration
• Tier 2 & Tier 3 Ticket Support
• Software Evaluations

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience with Windows Server operating system
• A final DoD Secret Clearance to start
• Ability to obtain and maintain and maintain DoD Top Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain 1) Common Access Card (CAC) along with badge access to the customer’s facility, and 2) a network account in good standing on the customer’s network
• An IAT II certification as specified in the DoD 8570
• Or have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree, and the ability to meet the requirements for an IAT II certification as specified in the DoD 8570 within six (6) months of start date
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of time
• Experience hardening systems in accordance with DOD guidelines
• Appling DISA STIG settings
• Evaluating systems and software against DISA STIG settings (i.e. apache web server, MySQL server)
• The ability to understand and remediate SCAP and ACAS findings
• Experience with Linux scripting languages to automate tasks
• Experience with PowerShell to automate tasks
• Must be capable of developing and refining automation scripts for system management
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and supporting protocols
• Basic knowledge of Virtualization (VMWARE Preferred)
• Basic understanding of relational databases (Oracle and/or MySQL)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and government officials
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
• CompTIA Security+ ce Certification
• Information Technology Related Degree
• Experience planning and deploying complex toolsets on top of the Linux and Windows Servers
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 – $128480
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
