What makes the culture at Providence unique?

The culture is unique at Providence in the sense that we have people from all over the globe. They are speaking different languages and they are having different beliefs and different ideas, and they all come together as one with the same common goal of taking care of the hospital and the patients and making sure that everybody is safe. The thing that I love the most is that working in a department with people is kind of a learning and teaching experience. It’s a learning experience in that you get to learn different things from different places and it’s a teaching experience because you get to teach the things that you know about Providence, or about your departments to someone that is new.

Description
Functions in the operating room as primary scheduler for all elective and emergency surgical procedures and entry of all data in the computer system. Works in collaboration with the medical staff, nursing staff and other health care professionals. Obtains verification of insurance, authorization, and precertification for outpatient procedures.
