The opportunity
Are you a systems thinker who is excited about GenAI and new technology? The MINT design team is seeking a designer to help us build the best tools for creativity. We are a collaborative team that works at the model-level of AI; showing future possibilities while partnering closely with engineers and scientists. We believe GenAI should accelerate creativity and not replace it; this role is to play a key role in the future.
What you’ll do
As a key design member and leader with a vision on our team, you will be an integral part of designing comprehensive experiences to transform the future of video Creative work; beyond the traditional set of Adobe tools. Because what we do involves many partner teams, we need someone who is motivated by collaboration and driving progress toward the best solutions through leadership and innovation.
In this role, you will:
• Steward GenAI strategy for creative tools across the MINT design team and beyond.
• Define and communicate clear strategy and vision in a relatable, inspirational, and simple way to understand.
• Reach out and listen to the creative community, reading between the lines to connect friction points to experience solutions.
• Find opportunities to create simplicity out of complexity. Make a plan and take action in ambiguous circumstances.
• Explore design ideas via sketches, storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes. Use feedback and research to refine and iterate toward product objectives. Pair strong communication skills with a user-centered perspective in order to influence and persuade.
• Dig in with prototypers, engineers and researchers to understand the capabilities of new and developing technologies to match user needs.
• Partner with senior executives, product managers, senior engineering scientists, and partners across the company to bring new products to life.
• Proactively collaborate across multiple teams to align on strategy and extend design patterns.
What you need to succeed
Must-haves:
• Proven experience and/or training in design or a related field
• A background and understanding of video, animation & audio tools and the community surrounding that space
• A history of leading design for and launching complex, yet intuitive products
• College degree or equivalent practical experience in design with an emphasis on graphic design, HCI, or related design field
• Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, XD and other design tools such as Keynote, Sketch, or Figma
• Ability to build functional prototypes to test with users and or work closely with prototypers
• Experience working closely and iteratively with engineering teams to bring the vision to life
• Very strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and storytelling skills
• Willingness and ability to be a part of the creative spirit of the Adobe Design team
• Excellent design craft and the ability to blend that with a strong intuition for business
• A real passion for collaborating across many subject areas and teams
Nice-to-haves:
• Prior experience crafting products for the video, animation and/or audio space and/or GenAI, platform experiences, and/or systems.
• Deep knowledge around and passion for accessible and inclusive design
How to apply
To be considered for this role, please submit your resume and portfolio. We’d especially like to see strong systems thinking, elegant design solutions, how you collaborate across teams, including engineering & product, and a proven ability to adapt your designs based on what you learn.
