The opportunity
Adobe Design seeks a Staff Designer to join MINT (Machine Intelligence and New Technology) and help us build the best GenAI Enterprise tools for creativity and efficiency. Are you interested in designing next-generation experiences for teams and companies who can apply the power of AI to transform their creative businesses? We believe GenAI should accelerate creativity and not replace it; this role is to play a key role in the future.
What you’ll do
As a key design member with a point of view on our team, you will be an integral part of designing integrated experiences to transform the future of Enterprise workflows; beyond the traditional set of Adobe tools. This role includes GenAI problem spaces where teams collaborate on large-scale idea generation and involve business-related challenges like image commercialization, licensing and production. Our team is empowered to define and communicate a clear strategy and vision in a relatable, inspirational, and simple way while driving responsible AI innovation, showing possibilities through design-led storytelling.
In this role, you will:
• Help build GenAI strategy for enterprise content creation at scale across the MINT design team and beyond.
• Reach out and listen to companies with creative teams, reading between the lines to connect friction points to experience solutions.
• Find opportunities to build simplicity out of complexity. Make a plan and take action in ambiguous circumstances.
• Collaborate with strategic partners across all Adobe clouds to craft the future positioning of enterprise workflows.
• Explore design ideas via sketches, storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes. Use feedback and research to refine and iterate toward product objectives. Pair strong communication skills with a user-centered perspective in order to influence and persuade.
• Dig in with prototypers, engineers and researchers to understand the capabilities of new and developing technologies to match user needs.
• Work closely with senior executives, product managers, senior engineering scientists, and partners across the company to streamline product innovation
• Proactively collaborate across multiple teams to align on strategy and extend design patterns.
What you need to succeed
Must-haves:
• Proven experience and/or training in design or a related field
• Experience with at-scale workflows, automation and templatization
• A background and understanding creative tooling for creative enterprise teams and companies.
• A history of leading design for and launching complex, yet intuitive products
• College degree or equivalent practical experience in design with an emphasis on graphic design, HCI, or related design field
• Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools such as Keynote, Sketch, or Figma
• Ability to build functional prototypes to test with users and or work closely with prototypers
• Experience working iteratively with engineering teams to bring the vision to life
• Solid interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and storytelling skills
• Willingness and ability to contribute to the creative spirit of the Adobe Design team
• Excellent design craft and the ability to blend that with strong intuition for business
• A real passion for collaborating across many subject areas!
Nice-to-haves:
• Prior experience working within a creative agency or an enterprise creative team
• Prior experience crafting design strategy for GenAI, platform experiences, and/or systems
• Deep knowledge around and passion for accessible and inclusive design
