How You’ll Make An Impact
We have a terrific position available for an innovative, inspired analytical problem solver to develop high-quality software dashboards, reports, complete complex analysis, as well as build, deploy and maintain portions of our data pipelines. As a member of our Data Engineering team you will have the opportunity to bring the SiriusXM satellite and streaming radio experience to our very large and expanding customer base.
What You’ll Do

This is a great opportunity for seasoned data engineers and analysts with experience in AWS, Datadog, Databricks, Java/Scala3, Python, QuickSight, Tableau, MS/SQL, TSQL and data pipeline development.
What You’ll Need
You should have a passion for solving problems, data mining, and finding new solutions to existing datasets. You should have a good understanding of Data quality and Backend application development and the associated technologies. As a member of our highly motivated team, you should be dedicated to excellence and have a strong sense of personal responsibility. You place a high value on automated testing and have some experience using unit testing frameworks.
Technical Skills
• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience
• 3+ years of Data Analytics experience
• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Design, develop, test, and deploy data strategy solutions using common standards and frameworks.
• Experience with TSQL/SQL/Postgres/Hive and distributed database architectures.
• Excellent working knowledge of advanced SQL, including common table expressions and complex joins.
• Understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Strong experience with technical data analysis, reporting and building analytics visualizations for presenting to internal stakeholders.
• Experienced with both Windows and Linux command line environments as well as shell scripting.
• Good understanding of AWS environments, CDK, Typescript, Git/Github, Github Actions.
• Experience with both Relational and Non-Relational Databases, Schema Design, AWS S3, Lambdas, Kinesis Data Streams.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), DataDog.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience building backend data applications or scripts that utilize Java/Python/Scala.
• Experience with Agile and Kanban software development methodologies.
• Experience with Data compliance and audit processes.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related technical field of study.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $95,800 to $180,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
