Staff Accountant – Corporate Accounting Fulltime

Role Overview:

We are currently recruiting for a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team based in our Coral Gables, FL office. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in accounting and be a critical thinker and have excellent analytical skills.

Role Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports for multiple companies
• Reconcile balance sheet and expense accounts
• Prepare of standard and non standard journal entries during month-end close
• Compile the weekly cash flow analysis and forecast
• Prepare sales tax analysis
• Assist in the preparation of governmental forms
• Participate in the yearly audit
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly and yearly closings
• Doccument accounting procedures, processes, and internal controls
• Support process automation/improvements, re-engineering projects, and system implementations/upgrades
• Assist with compiling internal and external reports
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Strong attention to detail
• At least one year of experience in accounting or auditing
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Self-starter with a proven track record of multi-tasking abilities
• Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas and pivot tables) is required
• Good technical accounting skills (US GAAP)
• Must be proactive in an ever-changing environment
• Team player
