Chewy is growing! We are looking for a Program Manager, Medical Operations in Plantation, FL to join our Chewy Vet Care team. This position is an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to support Chewy Vet Care veterinary practices! We are looking for a leader and owner who can optimize existing processes and bring brand new programs from inception to implementation.
This role will lead optimizing medical operations across all Chewy Vet Care veterinary practices. This role will oversee medical labor planning across practices, ensuring sufficient coverage and enabling us to scale. This role will launch Voice of Practices programs, where we collect feedback from our practices on largest struggles, proposed medical enhancements (products, services, etc.) and implement process improvements to enhance our overall medical operations experience.

They can successfully work with multiple partners across the organization, has a passion for solving complex problems, strong business acumen, and can ruthlessly prioritize competing priorities. The position will report to the Chief of Staff to the President of Healthcare. They has proven results in delivering and optimizing large scale programs in partnership with cross functional teams and thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. The candidate will enjoy mobilizing cross-functional teams, an excellent communicator, an enthusiastic and proactive problem solver who is engaged at all levels of the project, possessing a heightened sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability with a proven track record to lead projects from planning through completion.Does this sound like you? What You’ll Do:
• Lead the labor planning and process optimization roadmap, including the case definition, requirements gathering, implementation plans, resourcing, and user training
• Be the subject matter authority in all areas of the program, proactively setting and running expectations on an ongoing basis, prioritizing deliverables and milestones, building consensus, and coordinating program updates
• Communicate status risks and changes of program milestones to Team Members and senior executives
• Partner with cross-functional collaborators to develop tailored, actionable processes and workback plans with an emphasis on scalable technology and processes
• Proactively identify and resolve time-sensitive challenges with a positive, collaborative, solutions-focused approach
• Support multiple parallel workstreams running projects from kick off through implementation
• Develop and lead key business metrics and financials for programs and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
• Use analytical, innovative, and quick-on-your-feet thinking to adapt implementation plans to challenges while still delivering projects on time and on budget
• Act both strategically and tactically to implement program milestones successfully across internal and external partners
What You’ll Need
• BA/BS in Program Managemen
• 5 years of experience leading large-scale programs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with diverse cross functional teams. High level of empathy and ability to relate to clinical staff.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, Data Manipulation, Formulas etc.)
• Proven track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently illustrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in ambiguous situations
• Excellent attention to detail, effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Teammate, passionate about motivating and/or mentoring team members, fostering a positive team environment and culture
• Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Track record of taking ownership and getting results in a data-driven, fast-paced environment
• Position may require occasional travel
Bonus (if Applicable)
• Background as a Veterinary technician and knowledge of veterinary medicine.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet.
• Previous experience with SQL and building Tableau dashboards
