What You Will Do:
Raytheon, an RTX business, is looking for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Systems Architect professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in software and systems infrastructure and integration. The Systems Architect will serve as a team lead, responsible for assisting in the development and management of the system/application architecture within the client space, lead the analysis of issues that directly affect the system architecture, and serve as a direct interface to the customer during important reviews, briefings, and technical exchange/demos. To succeed in this role, you must have software development lifecycle experience using the Agile Best Practice methodologies and Cloud and Microservices-based system architecture. Satellite ground system Mission Management, signals data processing, and MBSE experience are preferred as well. The position is an onsite role in Aurora, CO.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Prior experience in an application/system/cloud architect role.
• Understanding of architecture design principles and governance.
• Ability to decompose, document, and communicate architecture rationale, approach, design and governance.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Satellite ground system Mission Management experience
• Experience with Signals data processing
• Understanding of Digital Engineering principles including Model Based System Engineering (Cameo preferred) and DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines
• Ability to create an architectural vision, communicate the vision, and manage a technological roadmap to execute towards the vision
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction to team members

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD – 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
