Job Description Ordnance Systems Inc. is the operating contractor for the Holston Army Ammunition Plant located in Kingsport, Tenn., and for the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, Va. Both of these sites were built in the 1940s to support the war effort and have played an important role in every American conflict since then. The Radford Army Ammunition Plant is capable of producing mass quantities of solvent and solventless propellants to support direct fire, indirect fire, and rocket applications. The facility uses a variety of ingredients in its propellant-making process, including nitroglycerin and nitrocellulose. Additional munition-related services include modernization program management, energetics research and development, engineering design and inventory management.
BAE Systems is hiring a Onsite Senior Principal Contracts Administrator to join our Ordnance Systems (OSI) team on a Full-Time basis. As a Senior Principal Contracts Administrator, you will work with contract activity that is moderate to high risk to the business unit. Contract activity may be non-routine and require development of specialized contract vehicles and techniques to accomplish business goals and objectives. Work generally involves independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution. Work may require development of new contract policies and processes or assessment of required deviations from established norm.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience
• Experience in Contracts Administration
• Experience in Defense/Government Contracting
• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR
• Knowledge of contracting concepts, Uniform Commercial Code, applicable public contract acquisition law and regulations, and applicable international contract law
• Ability to draft moderate to complex, non-routine contractual instruments
• Ability to employ independent judgment and creatively identify resolutions to contract issues
• Ability to communicate policies and interpret regulations
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent internal and external negotiation skills
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Good presentation, leadership, and team-building skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
• Graduate Degree a plus
• Professional Certifications (CFCM, CCCM, or CPCM) a plus
• Experience in Construction a plus
• Experience in Cost Type and Fixed Price Contracting a plus
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102800 – $174800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
