The successful candidate must be bilingual demonstrating high level of expertise in a foreign language, a working knowledge of software testing in various phases of software development cycle, as well as hands-on experience with a multitude of software applications. Leadership experience including leading projects or project management is highly desirable. Day to day:
• Review Software user interfaces, Documentations, User guide, Training material, Packaging, and other localized content for consistency, quality, and adherence to localization requirements.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the company providing detailed feedback on translated screens and other materials.
• Foreign language research of certain medical terms and their proper use.
• Ability to make recommendations regarding cultural/localization issues affecting software products.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior staff providing hands-on technical and project-related support.
• Work closely with Development, Software testing, QA, and UX addressing changes and feedback.
• Create and validate localization and functional test plans based on UI/UX and functional spec from UX
• Coordinate Internal review of screens and their localization.
• Log issues in bug tracking system (JIRA) and follow up on resolutions.
• Serve as main/backup linguistic expert for language translation.
• Understand the downstream impacts of localized screens on User guides, training, marketing, etc.
• Ability to run meetings and provide status updates to direct reports and various stake holders.
Must haves:
• 2-3 years of software localization experience
• Bi-lingual at minimum, translator-level fluency in Hebrew
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with common Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Proficiency in Atlassian suite (Confluence and JIRA)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to haves:
• Previous experience in software testing or IT support experience in software development / testing environment
• Previous use of translation software
• Knowledge of test management tools
