Job Summary
As a Sr. Business Development Analyst, you will play a critical role in defining and driving strategic, operational, and organizational improvements across AFC (OPENLANE Brand) in support of its dealer growth and retention objectives. In this role, you will work collaboratively to help evaluate business development opportunities such as launching new products, forming strategic partnerships, and executing work streams as part of key strategic initiatives. You will do this by immersing yourself in data collection, drawing insight from analysis, and then providing synthesized recommendations to senior-level leaders at AFC. Taking this one step further, you will roll-up your sleeves to help turn your recommendations into a reality.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Work cross functionally in the development and execution of AFC’s growth and retention strategies by coordinating research and identifying, analyzing, and executing strategic efforts across the business.
• Develop and manage email engagement programs that span the customer lifecycle, including acquisition and retention strategies, in support of AFC’s customer journey initiative.
• Assist in creating well-thought-out business cases, and presentations to champion emerging opportunities.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information quickly.
• Work directly with customers to understand their needs and pain points to inform solutions.
• Spearheading growth of new product initiatives, from ideation through implementation.
• Create clear, succinct narratives for executive presentations, meetings, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Assist in the formation of business development processes and procedures to enhance effectiveness.
Educational Requirements And Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant work experience.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills (e.g., modeling and presentation skills).
• Highly proficient in advanced Excel.
• SQL and data visualization tool experience (e.g., Tableau) a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated project management ability to meet short deadlines and execute against competing or changing priorities.
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
