Our Lightroom ecosystem is an industry standard among photographers around the world. To take our mobile app to greater heights, we are looking for a Quality Engineer who has the passion for making desktop photography apps easy to use yet able to deliver powerful results, someone who can lead from within and contribute to our hardworking and creative photography software team.
What You’ll Do
• Work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced Engineering team, with clear, positive, and constructive communication and decision-making.
• Become an expert in the Lightroom Desktop application features.
• Work closely with QE peers, Product Managers, Engineers and Designers in defining and developing features.
• Define quality standards and build a cohesive strategy for testing Lightroom features.
• Perform functional and workflow testing, including end-to-end testing as part of the Lightroom ecosystem, using a variety of testing tools.
• Help the team increase its skills and capabilities by creating collaborative opportunities and supporting others via mentoring.
• Monitor releases, logging, and analytics of owned features.
• Implement plans for defining and improving quality metrics.
• Work with the team to help evolve and drive software quality and delivery process improvements.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience testing consumer software through full release cycles.
• Mastery in manual exploratory testing of sophisticated software products.
• Mastery in the creation and documentation of software testing strategies.
• Expertise with agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with testing desktop apps on both Mac and Win and cross-product workflows.
• Real passion for building world-class applications that customers love.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using JIRA, Charles Proxy, GitHub, or Jenkins is a plus.
• Experience working with cloud technologies is desired.
• Photography and/or Adobe Lightroom experience would be helpful
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $107,000 — $210,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
