Essential responsibilities include: recruiting, directing, motivating and developing staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team; oversees the development and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems; works closely with client departments in development and implementation of technology strategies and application systems; advises application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements; provides direction and oversight for application support functions to ensure quality processing while meeting or exceeding application service level commitments; defines and manages resource requirements and allocations, monitors and improves quality, and ensures ‘best practice’ development techniques; interfaces with clients to ensure application systems and projects are meeting or exceeding their expectations; provides direction and manages resolution of applications issues; manages staff and recommends hires, transfers, terminations, performance standards and reviews; plans, develops and controls project/product budgets.The Software Engineering Manager (Multiple Positions) leads the digital transformation of customer facing products with full accountability and responsibility for strategy, architecture, design, development, implementation, testing and release. Responsible for engineering solutions and execution of products. Establishes engineering strategic objectives influencing architecture and technical approach. Provides technical solutions for web development (React) & mobile app web view development and library integrations with iOS and Android libraries to aid the business team in developing business & technical requirements.Basic Qualifications:Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems plus 2 years of project management experience in an information technology (IT) or related industry. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems plus 5 years of project management experience in an information technology (IT) or related industry in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience.Required Skills/Experience:Must possess 2 years of experience with Master’s or 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s with: planning, designing, developing, and implementing applications; installation and coding involved in application development; requirement analysis and design of applications; project/change management tools; technical review of prospective projects; code deployment; development and design of specification documents per project requirements; development of project manuals and documentation related to software and its maintenance; HTML; AJAX; XML; CSS; jQuery; JavaScript; React JS; React Native; JAVA; iOS/Android; .NET; Restful APIs; SOAP; JIRA; and Agile methodologies. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location.
