Be a part of Adobe’s Experience Platform; our fasting growing business in the Experience Cloud! The Adobe Experience Platform handles petabytes of data on behalf of organizations allowing them to have a centralized and standardized data platform applying data science and machine learning (ML) to spectacularly improve the design and delivery of rich, personalized experiences. The core of the Experience Cloud is the Query Service engine, a multi-tenant cloud-native reporting platform that allows our customers to query data, run advanced analytics, and apply ML techniques to generate predictive metrics against petabytes of data. This results in our customers being able to derive significant insights into the data. We use various open-source technologies (such as Apache Spark, Presto, Comet, Apache Airflow to name a few) to develop services for Adobe customers and partners.

What you’ll do –
• Build the best-in-class reporting engine that can cost-efficiently query petabytes of data.
• Implement a query layer that can answer complex customer journey queries in interactive latencies.
• Implement technical design and strategy for systems and components of the Adobe Experience Cloud data platform mainly passionate about distributed query service.
• Build/code/test and own the services to run at scale.
• Co-review and provide feedback on features, technology, designs, and test strategies.
• Creative problem solving
• Develop engineering practices with an API- first philosophy.
• Partner with some of the best data engineers, architects, and open-source contributors at Adobe
What you need to succeed-
• 4-6 years working on enterprise software on a distributed platform using Apache Spark or similar technology.
• Proficiency in data structures and algorithms in Scala/Java
• LLM for SQL rewriting and improving overall product experience.
• Statistical analysis/modeling
• Experience developing scalable micro services.
• Passion for big data engineering and/or cloud-based data warehouse
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
It is a plus:
• Proficiency in spark and spark internals and able to extend spark code base for analytical needs.
• vertical LLM for improving in product intelligence (SQL rewriting, anomalies, forecasting and more)
• Experience with No-SQL as well as RDBMS/Data warehouse.
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science with Math or equivalent with 3-5 years industry experiences.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $108,000 — $198,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
