As a Sr. Software Developer, you will be responsible for supporting various teams within STERIS such as Field Services, Service Business Systems and Service Engineering. In this crucial role you will assist in the creation of technology architecture documents, manipulate data, designs, codes and test software/systems along with configuring infrastructure components.
This is role is considered Hybrid, with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, OH Headquarters 2 days per week.

What will you do as a Software Architect?
Duties
The Sr. Software Developer will work on projects with limited scope and follow standard practice and procedures in supporting solutions to meet the needs of the customer in addition but not limited to the following duties:
• Perform software development and administration tasks, including support of applications implemented for automation of business processes (60%)
• Lead business analyses with Users to formulate designs, and lead development to meet User needs (30%)
• Design technical architecture for Service organization focused projects, including those supporting automation of business processes and help in selection of technologies to meet User needs (20%)
• Manage projects following Agile methodologies and principles (5%)
• Lead Testing & Validation to ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 compliance standards (5%)
• Stay current with applicable technologies, attends conferences and conducts training as required (5%)
• Performs other duties as required (5%)
What skills, abilities and experience will you need?
Skills
Your experience as a Sr. Software Developer with the following skills, abilities and experience will provide you success in this role:
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of professional IT experience
• Five or more years of relevant software development experience
• Five or more years using data interchange methods, including XML, JSON, RESTful, and SOAP
• Four or more years of experience developing software that interacts with relational databases
• Two or more years of experience with Python – preferred, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Java, JavaScript
• Two or more years of business and systems analysis experience
• Two or more years of software quality assurance and validation experience
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies
