POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping Specialist is responsible for the processing of shipping of finished goods in an accurate and timely manner.
OWNERSHIP
• Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against sales orders to verify quantities and destination.
• Communicate with contract carriers and customer drivers upon arrival.
• Ensure all orders are processed correctly in Sage X3 ERP system.
• Communicate, verify, and schedule carrier appointments and customer pickup appointments.
• Communicate with customers as necessary regarding confirmation of orders, order changes, lead times and availability of product.
• Communicate with Logistics and/or the assigned carrier to trace missing or delayed shipments.
• Maintain schedule for outgoing donations as requested by management.
• Perform replenishment and loading duties as needed.
• Ensure proper rotation of product is loaded using the FIFO system.
• Utilize X3 to perform daily cycle counts as needed to ensure that inventory is accurate.
• Must be willing to work weekends.
• Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
• Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Associates degree or High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A valid driver’s license and a forklift and electric pallet jack certification will be required upon job placement.
• All applicants must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Applicants must have the ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one situations and perform basic mathematical computations.
• All applicants must have the ability to add, subtract, two-digit numbers and divide with 10’s and 100’s, while also being able to multiply.
