This position requires work in support of the Company’s contract with the United States Department of Education (“ED”). A ServiceNow Platform Architect will design and develop Nelnet’s ServiceNow platform. The Architect will lead responsibility for creating solutions to match the requirements of stakeholders, collaborators, and customers while ensuring the platform’s health and stability. The architect will also assist the development team though providing technical expertise and guidance as needed. Serves as the evangelist of the architectural vision, strategy, and principles to internal staff, customers, analysts, and executive leadership. Displays leadership both within assigned team as well as the larger IT division. Mentors and teaches other individuals in both technical and non-technical skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interprets, evaluates, resolves and tests client inquiries or issues regarding the functional operation of application hardware and software.
• Architects and implements technical components of enterprise-wide technical systems.
• Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Serves as technical expert in design, development, and integration.
• Demonstrates highest technical competency in all phases of systems or applications.
• *Pay Range for this position is – $130,000 – $160,000
EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Science or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.
EXPERIENCE:
• Proven experience as a ServiceNow developer or architect, with a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities.
• Expertise in ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or SecOps
• Knowledgeable in Citizen Development
• Skilled in configuring ServiceNow applications
• Experience in leading ServiceNow implementation projects from design to deployment.
• Expertise in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions) and ServiceNow integrations.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred ServiceNow certification(s); Application Developer, Implementation Specialist, Technical Architect
