Duties: As part of the US pricing team dedicated to US business, underwrite and price AXA Partners contracts for travel and heath line of business. Gather and interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques to challenge the data. Provide ongoing reports both externally and internally. Build presentations in support of writing renewals and new business to Executive Committee and underwriting and risk committee AXA Holding. Use AXA specific underwriting tools to establish pricing for clients. Provide insight from various departments by analyzing and driving the implementation of changes to existing pricing models. Develop enhancements to current pricing models in order to improve predictive accuracy. Maintain a universal P&L structure for all current schemes resulting in consistent and streamlined reporting. Produce monthly portfolio reviews for the CEO and Executive Committee members. Perform and analyze profitability review for US contracts. Responsible for the portfolio management performance. Perform deep dive reviews that result in illustrative trends to answer specific pricing questions. Partner with the Sales team in order to incorporate all of the client’s product needs, while validating the pricing assumptions within group underwriting guidelines. Ensure the Sales team receives the best price to present to the client, maximizing the chance of success. Oversee junior underwriter.
Your Profile
Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field of study, and 5 years of experience as a Pricing Analyst or Underwriter in Travel Assistance. Experience specified must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: contract pricing activity, Underwriting, Profitability review, claims and cases database historical data, profitability review analysis and portfolio management performance; underwriting rules and finance environment (risks, inflation, taxes, and currencies.) in US and Latin America market; development of business case and analysis for risk assessments, and underwriting; reviewing pricing matrix (underwriting tool) to develop pricing for prospects and existing clients (upsell/cross sell and renewals); and managing budget, forecasts and financial closings. Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with Internal Controls, Team Management, Cost/Expenses allocation, and profitability analysis.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Requires 5% domestic/internal travel.
