Your main focus will be evaluating new solutions and aligning with R&D product management to efficiently get new and existing RF&C solutions into the hands of our SAS Managed customers. Priorities will be in the Risk (ALM, Liquidity, Enterprise Modeling and Decisioning, DAM, and modernizations) and Fraud (Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud Decisioning, and Financial Crimes Analytics). As the lead architect this would mean building and moving these solutions into our SAS Managed cloud providers like Azure and AWS. Cost optimization is also a key responsibility. You’ll need to maximize the value from our cloud investments. This includes designing repeatable deployments, effective system monitoring, and quick troubleshooting practices.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams at SAS, providing expert guidance on SAS RF&C capabilities in private cloud, and leading the integration of these solutions into managed application services within Cloud and Information Services (CIS).
As a Senior Technical Architect, Fraud & Risk, you will:
• Be the SAS Managed RF&C architecture expert and CIS thought leader for bringing new R&D product changes and updates into SAS Viya managed application services.
• Produce detailed solution architectures to be implemented in our supported hosting locations.
• Work across multiple teams in Sales, R&D, and CIS to assess hosting architecture requirements.
• Evaluate and maintain alignment of hosting capabilities with SAS Viya and RF&C roadmaps.
• Communicate recommendations regarding cost optimization, security, reliability, operational excellence, and performance efficiency when bringing solutions into managed application services.
• Participate in ongoing training to launch and ready new RF&C services for sale in private cloud with product management.
Required qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, engineering or similar.
• 8+ years of technical architecture experience.
• Experience architecting for public cloud delivery. Azure preferred.
• Experience with SAS Viya or microservices based applications.

• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Produce and communicate design documentation (architecture diagrams, non-functional requirements, and detailed solution architecture)
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
