Overview
Seeking skilled R programmers with expertise in SAS Base and advanced knowledge of SAS Graph and SAS Macros. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing process methodologies to meet both internal and external client needs. This position offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership while delivering integrated programming solutions across various statistical programming requirements.
Key Skills
• Proficiency in R programming and SAS tools
• Implementation of advanced statistical procedures based on biostatistician specifications
• Strong grasp of CDISC standards (SDTM and ADaM) and relational database theory
• Hands-on experience in clinical trial data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with ICH E6, E3, E8, and E9 guidelines and clinical research processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Senior Programmers and Programmers in daily activities
• Serve as an escalation point for programming issues
• Communicate project progress and anticipate and address programming challenges
• Develop programming specifications and ensure consistency in output
• Act as a subject matter expert in SAS programming and clinical trial standards
• Mentor programming staff and drive process improvement initiatives
• Maintain expertise in SAS Macros and lead macro development priorities
• Undertake responsibilities as assigned by senior management
Requirements
• Experience managing programming teams and engaging clients
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GCP and ICH guidelines
• Proficiency in R programming and SAS tools including Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS Graph, and SAS Macro Language
• Familiarity with SDTM and ADaM implementations as per CDISC Standards
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and delegate tasks effectively
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to lead teams and projects
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in science or mathematics-related fields
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Statistical Programming in pharmaceutical or medical devices industry
