The Senior Staff Specimen Acquisition and Inventory Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics plays a crucial in obtaining samples for advanced biomarkers for in vitro diagnostics, and managing the inventory associated with these samples. This position requires a deep understanding of laboratory processes, sample collection methods, and inventory management protocols. The individual will be responsible for establishing key industry relationships to ensure timely acquisition of high-quality samples for research and clinical trial testing, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with various stakeholders to support diagnostic testing processes.
This position is part of the Advanced Biomarker Development Team and can be remote based. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with biospecimen providers, healthcare providers, research institutions, vendors, and other sources of specimens for retrospective and prospective research and clinical trial purposes.
• Oversee the acquisition of samples for in vitro diagnostics, ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory requirements, study protocols, and SOPs.
• Implement effective inventory management systems and protocols to track sample availability, expiration dates, and storage conditions.
• Conduct regular audits of the sample inventory to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with R&D and Clinical Project Managers and other Beckman Coulter Associates to ensure seamless integration of sample acquisition and inventory management processes into testing workflows.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, medical laboratory science) with 14+ years’ experience, or Master’s degree in field with 12+ years’ experience, or Doctoral degree in field with 9+ years’ experience.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory processes, sample collection methodologies, and relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CLIA)
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and inventory management
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Familiarity with quality control practices and continuous improvement methodologies
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Biobanking
• IVD Product Development Processes
• IVD Research & Development
• IVD Clinical Trial Research

The salary range for this role is $150K-$188K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
