You will join an established group, playing a key role generating in vivo data in pre-clinical mouse models in support of multiple programs utilizing engineered human chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR T cells).Responsibilities• Perform and analyze in vivo studies with mice (efficacy, PK/PD, tumor/mouse model development)• Establish tumor models through subcutaneous or intravenous (IV) inoculation of human cell lines, administer human T cells IV, and dose mice with multiple agents IP or PO• Collect and analyze in-life study read-outs (tumor volume/burden, body weight, clinical observations), perform diverse sampling and preparation (blood, serum/plasma, tissues after euthanasia) and necropsy analysis, and record and analyze data in associated software programs• Culture CAR T cells and cancer cell lines• Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment• Present and participate in project team meetings and cross-departmental team meetings• Share core values such as passion, courage, teamwork, integrity and trustBasic QualificationsMaster’s Degree and 2+ years of scientific experienceORBachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of scientific experienceORAA Degree and 5+ years of scientific experienceORHigh School Degree and 6+ years of scientific experiencePreferred Qualifications• MS in Biology or related discipline• 5+ years of experience with mouse tumor models• Expertise in mouse handling and techniques including dosing (IV, subcutaneous, PO and IP), tumor inoculation and measurements, in-life and terminal blood collection, necropsy, tissue collection and processing• Experience with sterile mammalian cell culture• Experience with in vivo imaging of bioluminescence• Experience in data analysis software including, Excel, GraphPad Prism and StudyLog and with PowerPoint and Word• Demonstrated ability to independently conduct studies while working efficiently as part of a team• Ability to multi-task, perform work with a high degree of attention to detail, and be part of an exciting fast-paced scientific environment• Strong organizational and time-management skills, thorough record keeping skills (documentation and electronic lab notebook), excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills• Understands and implements study protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements for compliance with IACUC/AAALAC guidelinesThe salary range for this position is: $107,270.00 – $138,820.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
