If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team located in Louisville, KY.
Your Role:
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for inspecting manufacturing processes to ensure that the finished product will comply with quality standards. The Senior Quality Engineer will be involved in the entire course of manufacturing from incoming raw materials to packaged goods. They are responsible for documenting all observations, test results, and to insure control of non-conforming product. You will have the opportunity to:
• Able to perform calibration of precision lab instrument and maintain quality information systems. Able to use micrometers, scales, balances, Instron, length machines, Force Gages, Precision Custom Gaging Units, etc. Requires use of calibration standards, mechanical and electrical aptitude with precision hand tools for adjustment and repair and working with outside suppliers.
• Achieves quality assurance objectives by collecting information and performing analysis to meet strategic plans for both current and new product designs.
• Provides support to lines through product evaluation and troubleshooting system issues.
• Improves product quality by completing timely internal and following up with those results.
• Performs documentation reviews and tests to ensure compliance with customer and business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with test procedures and equipment within the quality labs and production areas.
• Reviews vendor products and components providing insight into their quality and performance.
• Assist in the performance of statistically based audits and postproduction inspection of products and product characteristics as directed by the Quality Manager. Publish audit results as required.
• In locations where applicable, responsible to comply with the GFSI standards, prerequisite programs and GMP practices to ensure safe food packaging production. To report potential food safety concerns to those with authority to take action.

We need you to have:
• BA/BS in Engineering.
• 6+ years’ experience in a quality and/or manufacturing role.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
• Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
• Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Knowledge of statistical software capabilities to facilitate analysis and distribution of quality related data as requested.
