Provides leadership and oversight to the Events group. Oversees the development, planning and management of customer, industry or employee engagements and special events. Responsible for analyzing and making strategic recommendations on event presence. Develops event programs, builds strategic plans and serves as primary liaison for event partnerships. Ensures effective event marketing and project management, keeping stakeholders informed of event planning progress. May act as key point of contact during events to ensure everything runs smoothly and issues are addressed effectively and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
• Drafts and maintains DN event plans in accordance with overall corporate and organizational strategy.
• Works cross-functionally with marketing teams, sales / sales operations and other stakeholders to drive event plans to completion.
• Reviews, analyzes and makes strategic recommendations on virtual / internet and related physical / advertising / tradeshow events that align with corporate and organizational goals.
• Assists in the strategic development of event content ( For Example,messaging consistency, data aggregation, presentation preparation).
• Identifies roadblocks for achieving business objectives and proactively works with business leaders and Events team to address them
• Manages contractual relationships with external vendors and service providers (Sourcing event locations and hotels, contracting with hotel, venue, audiovisual procurement and coordination, food and beverage, entertainment, etc)
• Supports onsite execution (e.g. ensures strategic alignment during event, event set-up and break-down, maintains communication across teams to achieve event goals, coordinates logistics).
• Budget & Financial Management
• Gathers and analyzes event data and refines process for showcasing ROI.
• Post Event Reconciling & Surveys and Analysis
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Typically has 8-10 years of experience in putting on and organizing Events, ideally around the world
• Strong leadership skills needed and ability to manage others, delegate tasks
• Must be detailed oriented with a strong sense of professionalism and the ability to produce an “excellent” world class event
• You should also be a person who embraces personal development, positive attitude, high ethics and integrity and work ethic.
• You should have a “dress for success” attitude and is skilled at managing relationships with executives and clients.
• Fluent business English skills (Written and spoken).
• Ability to travel for planning and events
