Position Summary : Responsible for developing and executing strategies for inside sales, sales support and customer centricity. Supporting the global inside sales and sales team to operationalize processes and ensure both internal and external requirements are met with regards to commercial activities. Serve as the main point of contact globally for various Livent functions and the commercial team to deliver on requests related to audit, revenue recognition, customer agreements, financial processes, IT processes, and liaison with various operations functions such as shipping and quality. Will provide leadership to global inside sales and sales team to drive closer customer relationships and communication across the entire customer experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Lead and develop Global Inside Sales team ensuring they are supporting their local sales teams appropriately in all aspects of customers’ interactions with Livent.
• Define and optimize all inside sales and sales processes globally to better serve customers, from sample to commercialized material, including supporting complex sales channels to meet forecast and targets, tax, legal and audit compliance
• Involvement with supply chain forecasting to drive results against quarterly forecasts and align inside sales and sales on critical orders needed for financial targets
• Serve as liaison between all Livent internal functions and commercial to drive results related to onboarding new customers, identifying, and evaluating customer requests, meeting internal and external requirements for customer orders, commercial terms and conditions within agreements and invoice payments
• Liaison with multiple Livent functions regarding commercial activities such as supply chain, finance, tax, quality, packaging, legal, regulatory, operations and IT
• Lead and provide framework for sales managers’ relationships with operations functions and share impacts between both organizations, including customer impacts
• Represent commercial function as workstream lead in all process improvement projects, including revenue recognition activities related to quarter end
• Enable sales team to better react to customer feedback through customer communications, journey maps, VoC feedback and trainings to facilitate more in-depth customer conversations
• Manage Livent’s customer success program design, processes, feedback systems and reporting and translate into tangible actions to improve the customer experience.
• Oversee Charlotte Office activities and management, including improvements for hybrid work environment, facilities management, onboarding, and project management.
Education And Experience
• BS degree in Chemistry or related technical field
• 9 years minimum experience in chemical company in customer service, customer management positions or supply chain positions
• 7 years direct customer involvement/communication in sales or service
• Understanding and background of customer centricity programs
• Understanding of CRM systems
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
• Computer skills in excel, power point, word
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft CRM
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
