Chewy is looking for a Manager, Merchandising Data Analytics to join our Healthcare Analytics Team. Within Chewy, the Chewy Health team is focused on redefining how pet parents care for their pets and how veterinarians support them. We are on an exciting journey to build out a comprehensive set of virtual care solutions that deeply engage and interconnect vets and pet parents, making it easier for pets of all shapes and sizes to lead healthy, happy lives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing analytics solutions and insights in support of our Virtual Care offering (Connect with a Vet) and Healthcare Services businesses. You will partner directly with Healthcare senior leadership to influence strategies that maximize financial performance, user acquisition & retention, along with overall customer experience.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exemplary skills analyzing large data sets, partnering with business stakeholders, and turning data into actionable insights. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as this role will lead analyses, share findings with business teams, and drive strategies that promote favorable financial and customer experience outcomes. This individual is highly proficient in developing and executing cross-functional project plans while being able to operate with minimal direction from leadership.
What you’ll do:
• Lead insights generation by delivering clear, written narratives that use data to tell stories and offer recommendations to improve business performance
• Lead development of KPIs and best-in-class measurement frameworks for evaluating customer engagement with Chewy’s Healthcare Services across digital and physical platforms.
• Build reports and analytics tools that continuously improve Chewy’s measurement of customer acquisition, retention, feature engagement, and financials from various product offerings
• Program manage cross-functional initiatives which require development of new data sources and changes to existing data infrastructure and analytics products
• Partner with business analysts and data engineering teams to prioritize, QA, and release new data tables, metrics, and analytics solutions
• Coach and develop business analysts
What you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics or a related degree with analytics and quantitative emphasis.
• Minimum 6 years of related work experience analyzing data and delivering business insights
• Strong leadership skills with minimum of 3 years managing analysts or data engineers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to translate analyses into business actions and quantified impact
• Advanced Excel skills (data connections, complex formulas, pivot tables; VBA is a nice-to-have)
• High degree of proficiency in SQL and thorough understanding of database architecture
• Strong data visualization skills Tableau or complementary visualization tools
• High degree of proficiency interpreting business metrics, executing complex analyses, and connecting multiple data sources to explain business performance
• Proven experience independently managing cross-functional projects, delivering results on tight timelines with minimal direction from leadership
• Proficiency with Ecommerce customer & site analytics data sets (e.g. customer journeys, conversion funnels, feature measurement) along with marketing, pricing, assortment, and fulfillment strategies
• Thorough understanding of Financial KPIs and P&L statement
• Superior attention to detail and proven ability to deliver data with integrity
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with speed and commitment to high quality
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a Manager, Merchandising Analytics III position is $129,500.00 – $207,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
