WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst within BCG’s Energy Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data, and related expertise, etc.).
You will contribute to cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. You will also support business development and go-to-market efforts of the operations implementation programs business, as opportunities arise, contributing research and analysis to marketing efforts. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions. Additionally, you will support the LCPM business in developing existing & new intellectual property and knowledge assets.
BCG’s Energy Practice Area helps companies navigate an increasingly complex business climate. We cover the oil and power & gas sectors, including all “green energy” sectors. We work with the full range of players in the industry: integrated international oil companies (IOCs), national oil companies (NOCs), upstream players, oilfield service companies, refiners, petrochemical producers, and oil trading firms, integrated power and gas utilities, international power producers, renewable specialists, energy wholesalers and retailers, commodity traders, and infrastructure and industry service providers, water utilities and waste-management firms, governments, regulators, industry associations, NGOs, technology companies, OEMs and suppliers to the energy and environment industry, energy-intense heavy industry players.
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst focused on large capital projects for Integrated Energy companies, you will work across topics and have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in particular topics as you grow in your Knowledge Team career.
You will support commercialization efforts for implementation programs, in conjunction with business leaders, through activities such as:
• Leading process improvement initiatives in large capital projects.
• Analyzing and optimizing engineering processes for greater efficiency and quality.
• Implementing process standardization and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Collaborating with engineering and construction teams to ensure process alignment with business goals.
• Monitoring process performance metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
• 2+ years of consulting experience in construction, engineering, process improvement or implementation related field strongly preferred
• In lieu of consulting experience, 2+ years minimum relevant industry experience required; 3-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree preferred) in a relevant field such as engineering or industrial management
• Strong experience with construction and engineering process management and improvement
• Experience with cost control, scheduling, risk management and field operations
• Fluency in English; other languages valuable
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
As a SKA, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
