Overview
As a Senior Copywriter, you will be a key contributor to the creative team, responsible for developing compelling and effective copy that aligns with the brand voice and marketing objectives. Your role involves crafting engaging and persuasive content across various channels, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior copywriters. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio of creative work, exceptional writing skills, and a strategic mindset.
Responsibilities
Content Development:
• Conceptualize and create high-quality, impactful copy for a variety of marketing materials, including advertisements, website content, social media posts, email campaigns, and more.
• Ensure that the brand voice and messaging align with marketing goals and resonate with the target audience.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with art directors, designers, and other members of the creative team to develop integrated campaigns that effectively communicate key messages.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to understand campaign objectives and incorporate feedback into copywriting.
Strategic Thinking:
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas that align with overall marketing and business strategies.
• Develop a deep understanding of target audiences, market trends, and competitors to inform copywriting strategies.
Mentorship:
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior copywriters, offering constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
• Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in copywriting and maintaining a high standard of quality.
Brand Consistency:
• Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand voice across all communication channels.
• Collaborate with brand managers to maintain and evolve brand guidelines as needed.
Research:
• Conduct research on industry trends, target audiences, and competitors to inform and enhance copywriting strategies.
• Stay updated on language and communication trends to keep the brand’s voice contemporary.
Deadline Management:
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality copy on time and within project deadlines.
• Work closely with project managers to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
Editing and Proofreading:
• Review and edit copy for grammar, style, and clarity.
• Ensure all written content meets quality standards and is free of errors.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of proven experience as a copywriter, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of writing styles and formats.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with marketing principles and the ability to align copy with business goals.
• Proficiency in proofreading and editing.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to evolving brand guidelines and industry trends.

Yamamoto offers the flexibility of a hybrid working schedule to all our employees. All employees will be expected to follow a 50/50 (20 hours weekly in office) hybrid working policy. Each employee will be responsible to meet the weekly hours in office guidelines. Employees are also welcomed to work in the office as many days as you would like.
