Commercial Pricing and System Reporting Manager
The Commercial Pricing Specialist Senior will be responsible for all system access, integration and dashboards for Comerica’s Relationship Pricing Tool (RPT) which is used to price new business for Corporate Banking, Business Banking and Private Banking across all markets. This role performs trend analysis, maintenance, and regular updates to the RPT system and reporting functions. This position plays a critical role in working teams that support the ALCO and Commercial Loan Pricing Committee. This position also collaborates with the Payments and Retail organizations to support loan and deposit pricing systems designed to monitor and streamline new business and exception processes.
Positon Responsibilities:
Pricing System and Risk Mitigation
• Perform analytics on issues related to the above RPM model for the purposes of evaluating changes proposed by executive management and/or proposing changes to executive management for consideration
• Work with the Relationship Pricing Model Manager to propose solutions and support recommendations for Executive Pricing Committee approval that are aligned with spirit of RPM objectives. Example: Implementation of Basel III capital requirements — how to incorporate into the model and convey changes to the lender community with an eye toward how these will be interpreted, avoiding unintended consequences of changes.
• Create and maintain monthly reporting out of the RPT System for senior and executive management in the commercial bank, private banking, payments, retail deposits and small business banking.
• Design and deliver dynamic reporting monthly through PowerBI. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting access as needed to the reporting platform (200 users).
Consulting and Collaboration
• Collaborate with Senior management in the Commercial Bank, Payments, Retail Deposits and Small Business Banking to create and enhance new forms and workflow processes.
• Consult with senior management in these areas on data and reporting needs from the different modules within RPT.
• Collaborate with Commercial Banking Strategy and the Commercial Lending Product teams on data requests and analysis.
Pricing Systems Design
• Identifies and challenges conceptual assumptions and methodologies in the Relationship Pricing Tool (RPT).
• Evaluates the methodologies and mechanics used in the model and implements/modifies these methodologies as necessary. Implement and test changes which are approved by executive management.
• Delivers ongoing evaluation and solutions for the most effective delivery.
• Explore potential upgrades to the pricing tool process to improve performance and accuracy for the Commercial Bank, Payments, Retail Deposits and Small Business Banking.
Prepayments
• Responsible for reviewing any prepayment request that comes through the system, confirming the form and calculating the prepayment charge for the customer and the cost center.
• Monitor and confirm all prepayment requests in the RPT system monthly.
Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• 5 or more years of experience in Commercial Banking
• 5 or more years of experience in Financial Reporting
