About the role:
OLIVER is seeking a Senior Account Manager, Editorial to join a high-profile account for a Fortune 500 financial services firm. This relatively new global account has already seen growth and is continuing to expand.
As the Senior Account Manager Editorial you will oversee the support and growth of three verticals: Technical Writing, E-Learning and Proofreading. You offer strategic vision for these verticals, assess client needs, and bridge client objectives and team capabilities. You should be able to understand technical writing and instructional design.
This role is hybrid: We would like this person to be on site with clients 2-3 days per week.
What you will be doing:
• Regularly meet with clients to assess their needs and collaborate with Editorial Director to pitch our Editorial services to new clients (or up-sell existing ones)
• Proactively generate ideas for new projects and service/process enhancements; partner with Editorial Director and Operations team to implement them.
• Collaborate with account and project managers to take in new work, scope projects and craft an approach to deliver an excellent caliber of on-time and on-budget work.
• Act as an internal client advocate and knowledge center, guiding best practices across ideation and production.
• Take in client feedback, assess the best way to move forward and communicate instructions/next steps to creative teams by making recommendations and decisions.
• Collaborate with Editorial Director and Team Leads to discuss team needs, analyze utilization data and craft business cases for more team support.
• Partner with Operations team to troubleshoot platform and process issues for clients and team members.
What you need to be great in this role:
• 5+ years related experience as an Account Manager, with experience in Technical Writing and/or E-Learning.
• Experience in investment banking, wealth management and regulated industries is a plus.
• You’ve worked in fast-paced, client-facing environments. You’ve handled client requests, created full and conclusive briefs and delivered to exceed the client’s requirements.
• You have studio management or coordination experience, and you understand the mechanics of a creative studio.
• You have a hunger to learn with an entrepreneurial mindset. You want to learn about new lines of businesses and service offerings and come up with ways to support and enhance them.
• You are team-oriented and collaborative. You know how to tag in team members, pass on clear instructions to them and help them produce excellent work that meets client expectations.
• You’re nimble with feedback. You know how to receive it from clients and pass it on to team members in a constructive way.
• You’re highly organized with a keen attention to detail, and you’re able to balance multiple priorities.
• For roles that will be performed in New York City, this is the pay range: $80,000 – $95,000
In compliance with local law, this is the salary range OLIVER Agency believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation will be determined on various factors including but not limited to geographic location, qualifications, experience, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business and/or client needs. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package for our employees.
