What you will do
Within Technology Consulting, we assist clients to effectively leverage technology-enabled capabilities to analyze their business and operationalize their strategic goals. We combine knowledge of business processes with technology capabilities to drive operational efficiency across our client’s organization. As a staff consultant, you will support our SAP Client Engagement teams, performing a diverse range of tasks, including business process documentation, budget analysis, root cause analysis, and business case development. You’ll develop the skillsets you need to stay relevant today and, in the future, – all while building a network of colleagues, mentors, and leaders who will be on the journey with you at EY and beyond.
The National Consulting practice serves clients across a variety of industries including, but not limited to: Consumer, Retail, Health, Life Sciences, Industrial Products, Mobility, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Private Equity, Media, Technology, and Telecommunications.
Skills and attributes for success
• Participate in discovery meetings with clients and prospects to understand and document their business requirements
• Propose and design solutions using the extensive Power Platform capabilities to solve the identified business requirements
• Work with developers to define and create specifications for any custom code or data migration requirements
• Create reports
• Liaise with the stakeholders and technical team to translate needs into business solutions and complete the configurations and/or integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems
• Train end-users
Job Requirements and Preferences
• Required Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree and one or more years of related work experience
• Aptitude and/or experience in Java, JavaScript, .Net, Python, C, C++, PHP, web development, analytics focused tools and platforms such as SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, business process design, or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, such as SAP or Oracle, or integration tools.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
• A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%
• Preferred Qualifications
• A demonstrated interest to work in consulting as reflected in relevant course work, organizational involvement, or internships
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; writing, publishing and conference-level presentation skills a plus
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts, strong interest and willingness to keep up with emerging technologies
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrate a growth-oriented mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt in a dynamic business landscape
• Ability to drive projects to completion and manage multiple competing priorities in a demanding environment
• Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $75,800 to $125,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $90,900to $142,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
